All of our packages include news service.
As of June 1996, the news server will not allow remote connections from everywhere. Initially it will accept connections from any of our IP addresses. If you would like to access our news server remotely from another internet provider, please send email to support@sharedhosting.net with the IP or address block you will be connecting from.
The wp.* newsgroups are local only to our system. In order to read these groups you will have to access our news server directally.
At Tile.net there is a searchable list of newsgroups, listservs, vendors, and ftp sites. If you find a newsgroup that our news server does not have, or would like to have postings last longer for a specific group, please send email to news@sharedhosting.net. Currently the postings for most groups are expired 2-3 days after the post date.
The news server at Indus Hosting is news.sharedhosting.net This is the only information specific to your service with us that your newsreader will need.
