Using Netscape for Email


1. Open your Netscape program.

2. Pull down the OPTIONS to "Mail & News Preferences"

3. Click on the SERVERS tab

4. Fill in the following information

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server:   smtp.sharedhosting.net

If there is a choice between POP3, Built-in-Movemail and External Movemail. Click on POP3.

Incoming Mail (POP) Server:    pop.sharedhosting.net
Pop User Name:                 Your login id at Indus Hosting
				  without the @ sign or domain name.

5. Click on the IDENTITY tab

6. Fill in the following information

Your Name: 
		A name associated with the following email address
Email Address: 
		Pick something from your domain like
		joe@yourdomain.com
Your Organization:
		An organization name associated with the email address
Signature File:
		Optional.. you can set this to a text file on your computer
		that will be added to the bottom of each email you send

7. Click on the ORGANIZATION tab
If you don't want to type your password each time you retrieve mail put a check in the Remember Mail Password box.

8. Click OK.

To read email, pull down the Window->Netscape Mail menu and click on Get Mail.
